My iPhone 6 will not communicate with my Mazda 3

I can pair my iPhone SE with my Mazda 3 SP25 communication but it will not allow my sms or emails to come through as it used to do with my android phone. I have completed suggestions re enabling notifications via settings on bluetooth and whilst the SMS feature is now not greyed out it will not update the sms as it should?

This is a huge issue as i just bought the iPhone changing from Android?

I hope there is going to be a software amendment to fix this issue as it is quite common?

Please advise

Cheers Kay

Hi kayfrommelbourne!

I see that your iPhone's functions are not working correctly with your Mazda. I know it's important to have those features working correctly, and I'm happy to help. Be sure to contact Mazda as well, to see if they have a firmware update available to address any compatibility issues.

Hello,

Thank you for the response but please note my car in brands new and only 3 weeks old. I have completed all the hints provided by you and the community and whilst the SMS on the communication area in the car is not highlighted when i hit the button it reads Update in box but doesn't do anything when I try an hit again. Ina nutshell its not working, it should be able to show both SMS and email and Mazda advise it is an Apple issue.

My firmware in my car and my SE are both up to date.

Cheers

Kay
